SA Junior Skills 2014 (Silver) - Ingle Farm

Ingle Farm was primed on Sunday the 27th July for a big day of junior squash. With 28 entries encompassing juniors from not just the metro area but also the country regions such as Naracoorte, Clare and Millicent. Every entrant received a $25 Karakal gift pack which put the smiles on all participant faces even if they had lost a tough match.

Division 4 was made up of 8 young emerging superstars keen to start off the day with a bang. The final between Kate Winters and Jordan Ashworth was another great little battle with Kate Winters winning 3-1. The Division 3 final involved the other Winters sibling Jack who prevailed in an epic 5 set struggle with Naracoorte’s Matt Reuter. Division 2 number 1 and 2 seed made their way through to the final which was another back and forth battle that resulted in a 3-2 victory for young gun Alex Haydon. Division 1 had some surprising upsets with number 4 seed Will Pearson meeting tournament favourite Alex Oswald in the final with Alex proving too strong for Will winning 3-0 in the final.

Squash SA would like to thank Ingle Farm Squash Club and Ingle Farm Recreation Centre for hosting the tournament on the day. We would also like to thank Karakal and Ramelec for their contributions towards the prizes and gift bags.
