Sunday was the final day of the Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit No.1 and unfortunately I was not in the final.
This tournament has been a little disappointing for me performance wise loosing to Eun Chan Ahn from Korea in the quarterfinals. Eun and I have played each other 3 times in the past 3 months. I had beaten Eun the past 3 times we played but I take my hat off to her as she played really well. I had a chat with Eun after our match and she has had a lot of changes in her squash recently moving to Malaysia with a huge advantage training on these courts in advance as they were interesting to say the least.
It is very important to take a day or so to process everything after a loss. All the emotions and negative thoughts that run through your mind is natural I guess, but for me its now time to figure out what happened and what needs to be improved on.
Once you’re knocked out of an event you have so much spare time waiting for your next flight back home. I normally take advantage of the players around me and organise as many hits as possible with different girls, but there is very limited court time. So no better time to write a blog and think about getting back on the horse next week and keep the process going.
I’m flying back home tomorrow morning where I will be back in Brisbane for 10 days before flying to Penang for the 2013 World Championships starting on the 15th of March.
Good bye to Kuala Lumpur and back to home sweet home.
