What I do away from Squash

11 Feb 2014 | Hits: 347

I'm not sure everyone is aware of what I do away from squash.  You may know of Club2Athlete but just unclear how I am connected to the company.  I have had people ask me who are you working for?  Well Club2Athlete is my very own brain child.  Club2Athlete is currently a team of 2 myself and Anthony Tully.  Anthony and I met back in 2010 when I was wanting my very own personal website, Anthony creates websites and I was put in contact with him through Kerri Pottharst.

While planning and developing my own personal website, I realised that others can benefit from what I was attempting to achieve. The objective is to create a place where athletes can share their experience and knowledge, utilise the power of Facebook to grow a network that delivers value and improve the number of opportunities to further fund their chosen career in sport. More importantly, it’s a place where anyone with a passion for sport can connect with others to benefit and support their new friends.

So most days around my training I am home working on my laptop creating my very own business to help support others in the sporting world.

I have seen many elite squash players and elite athletes struggle with the financial pressures of competing in their sport. Emerging athletes are succumbing to this pressure while contending for limited government funding and living off the charity of their family.   As well as, juniors being limited in their capability to connect and be inspired to progress into the sport as emerging elite athletes.

Club2Athlete now has a membership that covers 24 countries consisting of players on the world circuit, to those that play at local clubs. The development of Club2Athlete.com would not be possible without our users assistance and feedback. I am very proud at what Anthony and I have created and I  am very excited to share my knowledge and experience on how you can use the website to better yourself and your sport.

Please take the opportunity to navigate yourself around the site, its all new so it may take you some time to farmilarise yourself with things.

Do not hesitate to get in contact regarding questions you may have. I also welcome any ideas you may have about increasing the profile of Club2Athlete.com or ways to improve the functionality of the site.  Growing Club2Athlete together to give you what is needed to make life a little easier.

Thanks for having a read of my blog and don't forget if you haven't pressed the follow button on the top of my sports page then please do. :)
