23 Jan 2014 | Hits: 320

My first tournament of the year kicks off tomorrow "The Australia Day Challenge" held at the PCYC in Ipswich, Griffith Rd, Eastern Heights QLD 4305.

I am very happy with my preperation leading up to this event, after 8 weeks of solid triaining your always excited to play and see how the hard trainng pays off.

Its a strong draw for a $5,000 event with international players travelling over from Hong Kong, Korea and New Zealand. Top 8 seeds being very closely ranked:

Lisa Camilleri - #41

Amanda Landers-Murphy - #44

Megan Craig - #46

Liu Tsz-Ling - #47

Melody Francis - #50

Tong Tsz-Wing - #55

Sarah Cardwell - #56

Tamika Saxby - #64

In conjunction with the PSA and WSA Open events the Ipswich Squash Open will also be played. The Ipswich Open includes a divisional or graded event to cater for all standards of players, so there will be a lot of squash happening over the weekend.

There will also be come-and-try sessions for juniors.  So come on down and support those you follow and join on on the action!

The Draw for the Women's WSA event.  Hope to see you all there cheering me on :)
