2014 Here We Come!

05 Jan 2014 | Hits: 382

Christmas has come and gone and we are now getting back into the routine of work for some and training for others. Each day comes and goes by so quickly, so I believe you need to make sure your days are filled with activities that are working up towards your goal or your dream. What ever that dream may be; a holiday, writing a book, becoming a healthier you, or just being happy inside and out. I believe everyone needs to have goals that you’re working towards and just tapping away with positive steps toward achieving it!

As they say time flies when you’re having fun or time passes by much quicker as you get older. I must be getting old because it's amazing how fast time is passing! I remember grade 6 feeling like an eternity and now it seems a year has come and gone in a flash.

2014 will be a fresh start for me, with a different approach to my training. A new team behind me with new strength and conditioning coaches, a new cross-training group, new guidance on keeping my body together and expanding out to new squash partners to train with.

It’s going to be a very busy year this year for me with WSA tournaments, qualifying for the Commonwealth Games and hopefully playing for Australia at the World Team Championships in December.

What have I been up to over the past month you’re wondering?! I have been training hard preparing for the Australia Day Challenge tournament held in Ipswich from the 24th to the 26th of January. It gets a little hard trying to keep up a training routine when everyone is enjoying time off, eating, drinking and enjoying themselves. But I am happy with my preparation so far and mentally getting back into tournament mode. January really marks the beginning of my season, at least in my mind.

Some of you may be wondering what every happened to my campaign. Well, I have taken it down to edit and update a few things. I will be re launching it again this week. I’m also very excited as I’ve got some help with promoting it a little better this year and getting you all involved with helping me get to the Comm games. Stay posted on more info about my campaign “Going for Gold 2014 Commonwealth Games” launching this week!

Another exciting thing about my sports page is I’ve attached my domain name to it www.lisacamilleri.com so its now easier to get to.

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and I wish you all the best for 2014!
