Hi Everyone,

Hmmm…Where to start? What’s been going on with me? Well since NSW Open and my rolled foot injury, I haven’t felt like there was anything exciting to write about. When all your plans get thrown out the window, uncertainty makes it hard to plan anything, and as someone who loves a well thought out plan, I found myself a bit lost and frustrated for a few weeks.  I’ve slowly gone about my business, trying to be patient (patient being the key word).

After a few weeks off, I finally got to the point where I just wanted to run and get back to normal training. I was still having pain in my foot but it was manageable.  So second day back into training I decided to go for a long run.  Everything was feeling great then I discovered a new running track.  With great excitment on how fantastic this new running track was, running round cow paddocks, along a creek and away from the noisy traffic I found myself getting a little carried away, 8km later I started to get a little tired. Luckily home was just around the corner, with my arrival back home off went the shoes and I thought to myself my foot seems to be a little puffy and sore.  It pulled up really sore the next day, getting a lecture from my coach and physio “Lisa we shouldn’t be having this conversation with you” “you know better!”  I admit I got a little excited a little too soon.  So I’ve been put back another few days, back to non pounding exercises, cycling and solo hitting.  Note to self IT’S A GRADUAL PROCESS.

I’m seeing the physiotherapist this afternoon fingers crossed it has gotten better and is back to where it was before I went on my long run last week.  I have only one more week before I head over to Penang followed by Macau and then back home for the QLD Open, Caboolture Open and Mackay Open.  I’ve got a very busy schedule coming up.

When I’m not playing or training for myself I have been busy coaching others at Daisy Hill Squash Centre.  I love to coach and I get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing others improve and learn something new about playing squash.  I’d like to thank all of my enthusiastic, happy and very eager squash players that come along to my Sunday afternoon squash group session.

Now for some Pictures what Ive seen and from home to around the traps.
