Happy Days

24 Apr 2013 | Hits: 343

It’s been a little while since I have posted a blog but I have been real busy the past 3 weeks with training, coaching and life. I always have spare time when I am away from home as there is a lot of down time in between matches and preparation for the event.

I am back in Kuala Lumpur getting ready to play in an International WSA event that starts tomorrow. It was only a month ago that I was here competing and getting back in the swing of playing in international events again. I know my fitness is still not where it was before my injury but I also know it’s better then what I showed on court 4 weeks ago. During my visit here last month I can say my game improved with all the match play I received. Also the thing that’s been worrying me and that I have been working hard on is to have the confidence and the ability to move around the court normally again with out my foot hurting and feeling unstable.

I am excited and ready for tomorrows match and the tournament to start. I need to get all Nike and Just Do It. It’s really simple but there is a level of intelligence and concentration that is needed to “Just do it”. It’s a balance between over-thinking and not using your head. Feeling comfortable, confidant, fearless and just letting what comes natural happen.

I was thinking on the flight here yesterday that life is actually really good at the moment. A year ago I was very miserable, lonely and just out of sorts. But at the moment life is great, exciting and if all goes well everything will only get better.

Wish me good luck for this tournament everyone and I’ll keep you all posted on my progress. ☺
