Today is my birthday.

I wanted to write a big, long post about how fabulous today is and pat myself on the back for being born but I just wasn't really feeling it. I normally get excited for my birthday as it's "Your" day and I always feel special and enjoy all the happy birthday wishes from everyone on my birthday. But this year it's the big three zero and I don't think there is any need for all the fanfare and celebration or should I say the need for everyone to tell me "I'm getting old"! Because even though I still feel young at heart, 30 is not the new 20.

I have been thinking hard over the past week leading up to my birthday on how i really feel about turning 30 and how to put this reality in its place. At first I thought this is pretty scary and where has the years of my 20's gone. But to be honest I am warming to the occasion, I feel life is on track, I know what I want, Im happier then I have ever been and all in all, life is good.

I learnt a lot from my 20's the bad and the good times has made me the person I am today and I am ready to tackle what the 30's have to offer!

I am still doing what I love, and I'm getting better and better at it in my opinion as I now have experience, knowledge and all those other things older (lol) people have on my side. Training has been good the past few weeks and I am now getting excited about traveling to Kuala Lumpur on the 9th of March.

I also have the most amazing people in my life who love and appreciate me. I have everything I need, and thanks to amazing friends and family. I will be celebrating my birthday properly on the 2nd of March (the weekend after my birthday) in Townsville with Mum, Dad my best friend and boyfriend :)
