Strong results on the PSA World Tour in late 2010 saw Cameron leap to a career-high world No11 in the first ranking list of 2011 – thereby overtaking David Palmer to become the top-ranked Australian for the first time. He won a bronze medal in the 2011 World Cup, playing as the number 1 player for Australia. Australian National Champion in 2004, he was also Australian Junior Champion in 2000 and 2001.

Cameron won the 2010 Dutch Open final in Rotterdam after defeating top seed and home favourite Laurens Jan Anjema in the final. This victory was followed with a quarter final appearance in the PSA Masters in Delhi – one of the prestigious PSA World Series events. This impressive form has continued during 2011 and recently Cameron reached the semi-final of the Malaysian Open.

Cameron is one of the most attacking and charismatic players on tour and is popular with squash fans all over the world. Now based in the Netherlands, he regularly plays in European leagues and is a key and proud member of the Australian Squash Team, having represented the Australia Men’s team in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. At the Commonwealth Games in 2010, he won a Gold medal in the Mixed doubles event and a Bronze medal in the Men’s doubles event.
