New Zealand representative, international squash player and accredited NZ Level One coach.
I was born in Rotorua, New Zealand but at the age of two moved down to the countries capital, Wellington. Both my parents played squash, I was 7 years old when my older brother and I first picked up a racket. I played Soccer and Cricket as I grew up too but they quickly found the sidelines and I continued to pursue Squash.
I won my first national age group title at 10 and haven't looked back since. I was the first player in New Zealand history to win all 5 national age group titles, plus I won all North Island age group titles and the NZ Junior Open title. I lead the New Zealand Junior Mens team to two World Junior Championships - in Palmerston North, NZ in 2006 and in Zurich, Switzerland in 2008.
I have represented New Zealand in the World Mens Team Championships twice since leaving juniors - in 2011 and 2013. Since taking squash on full time in November 2011 I have taken my world ranking from 232 to a career high of 79 and have made 5 PSA World Tour finals.
My goals and ambitions are to keep playing squash to my fullest potential. I want to represent NZ at many more World Mens Teams events, plus the Commonwealth Games - with an ultimate goal of being in the top 10 in the world.
I love the squash lifestyle and the many challenges that it brings, so the more I can learn and pass on to the generations to come the better.
