The Story and the 50% Injury

18 Nov 2013 | Hits: 356

Well I call it a story and a 50% injury after what has been happening in the last couple of Month.

All the Story behind my injury is that I only got weak muscles that should support main muscles and that was causing the pain.

To be honest after the breakthrough and entering the top 10 it was a total different level of Squash I was experiencing. Everything was different I kept pushing my self hard sometimes I get out with a good win and the others with a Sore body and a loss. Maybe its something inside of me since I was young that made me hate losing so much that I kept pushing my self even under pain so I don't come out of this Court a Loser.

It all started in March when I was experiencing pain during the Malaysian Open. It started to disappear and heal back again and I was Ready for the British Open in May where I lost to Omneya in a fair match, Getting back frustrated I want to push more in training above the limits when I experienced pain again.

all the Doctors advised me stay low for a while as all what they have to say is that my muscles needs some rest nothing more. interestingly they gave me the green light only 10 days before the world juniors. I was between not playing it or taking the risk. At the World Juniors its a total different story everyone is coming to watch the top 10 18 years old expecting to see a total new level of Squash so thats why I was worried and questions began to arise in my head Like will I be able to make it ? What if my legs hurts in the middle of the tour.? and allot like these.

Thank god I was able to do it I went back to Egypt and a period of 2 month rest with absolutely no Squash nor Fitness just 2 month off after that in October I traveled to Qatar and there I met my new team a Highly professional team that I was Wishing to have for this level.

Thanks to them I am now training in Full schedule and 100% fresh.

I just cant wait to be back on Court but what my team suggested (TeamSherb) that its better to stay out of competition for a while and aim for a strong start in January.

Will keep you posted laters.

Nour xx
